I wanted to blame, blame, blame what I could on my genetics, but then I learned about epigenetics and it actually empowered me (page 59 from my book, Cookie Dough in the Dark)πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

 

We may have a genetic disposition to certain diseases, but our lifestyle influences that predisposition. In the words of Dr. Oz (and many others), your genetics load the gun, and your lifestyle pulls the trigger!

 

So I will have women say to me, “I’m overweight because my mum is, it runs in our family.” “I’m diabetic because my aunt is, it runs in our family you know.”

 

But study after study shows your lifestyle choices and behaviours (i.e. your habits) account for over 75% when it comes to your health and longevity.


I’m not saying your genetics don’t matter.

I’m not saying your genetics don’t matter.

 

 

βœ”I’m saying that your actions, habits and daily choices have a far greater impact on your success than your genetics.

 

 

Of course genetics matter.

 

 

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t lose weight, crush your cravings, end mindless munching, lose fat, get stronger, get healthier, build muscle, improve your health….if you want to

 

Because you CAN.

 

Cue the confetti...πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸŽˆ

 

You ABSOLUTELY can.

 

 

No matter what cards you were dealt in the genetic lottery, when you stop using the “genetics’ card” as a justification to not try altogether, you’ll be amazed at just how much progress you can make.

So, I delved further into holistic health – the emotional, mental and physical – wrote a book, and have been in this field for many years helping 1000’s of women.


I discovered that by being smarter, not working harder, I could get the results I wanted and also for my clients. It started with some really small shifts that I will share with you over time. With this new knowledge, I felt ALIVE, VIBRANT and COMFORTABLE in my own skin. And my clients felt this way too!

My mission is to continue to help women step into the body they WANT. To feel confident & sexy, in control of their food choices and have their clothes fit just as they should while having the energy to live a VIBRANT life.
