Keep the Weight Off by Doing THIS

Cuz’ ladies, no one has trouble losing weight, it’s keeping it off and that’s what we are here to talk about!
It has absolutely nothing to do with the foods they eat, the training they do, or how active they are.
It has to do with how they think.
Is a diet something you're on or off?
Is food good or bad?
Are you all or nothing when it comes to food?
If yes...
You fall into the camp that has an increased probability of struggling with maintaining your weight loss.
I didn't make the rules. I'm just reporting the psychology research.
But it makes perfect sense if you think about it.
There's been a lot of research trying to pinpoint the commonalities amongst the 5%ers.
The 5%ers are the people who have successfully lost weight and kept it off for more than 5 years.
Researchers thought the 5%ers must have some common way of eating so they can start to educate others on "the best diet."
Only... it didn't exist.
Some of the 5%ers ate high carb.
Some of them ate low carb.
Some of them ate meat.
Some of them didn't.
Some of them ate several meals per day.
Some of them ate fewer meals per day.
Anyway, the one common trait when it comes to their nutritional habits is this...
The 5%ers don't view what they're doing as something they are on or off.
They don't view their food choices as good or bad.
They simply eat in a way that supports their healthy lifestyle.
Yes, they prioritize nutrient dense foods, but they also allow for flexibility and don't feel guilt or shame about eating chips, crackers, cookies, ice cream, or cake when they want it.
Because no food is off limits.
Guilt is not a food group.
When you think about dieting, you probably think about all the things you're not able to eat.
You probably think of a whole "can't eat" list.
Which inevitably makes your diet a ticking time bomb.
Sure, you may lose weight initially but you will gain it back if you don’t get to the root cause of why are you eating in the first place.
Can you confidently say, I eat whatever I want, and it supports my healthy weight & lifestyle? Or are you trying to search for that perfect diet because you don’t want to dig a little deeper as to why you are eating in the first place?
You can include and enjoy all the foods and drinks you want to consume and still lose weight or maintain your weight.
Eating is pleasurable and should include the foods that bring us pleasure – how does that make you feel knowing that no food is off limits??
I'm never "on a diet." But I used to be, and I was miserable.
I used to eat and feel shame, guilt, and then say not no nice things to myself.
After years of being in the cycle. ENOUGH.
Why not take the time to establish quality habits and a strong foundation instead of finding another diet or quick fix? What’s beneath the surface that you don’t want to face?
We've been conditioned to view our diets as something we're "on or off."
It's all or nothing.
If you stay in that cycle, you'll pump plenty of time and money into worthless diets you can't see yourself doing until you're 85 years old. You will also increase the amount of fat on your body (more on that in another post)
All in the name for seeing a smaller number on the scale which by the way is NO indication of your health but rather how much you can deprive yourself or how much water weight you can lose.
If you are over 50, it’s time to change your approach. It is time to look deeper and get to the root cause of your weight.
