Chia Protein Bars
Nov 24, 2024Great for breakfast, dessert or when you are wanting something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Packed with powerful prebiotics that will support your microbiome. This is a wonderful way to break your fast.
1.5 cups of pitted dates ( I like to soak in a little hot water to make it easier to blend and the water adds moisture to the recipe)
1/2 cup of almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp himalyan salt
1 cup walnut (or any nut) pieces
1/2 cup chia seeds
1/2 cup hemp hearts
1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup raw cacao powder ( I love giddy yo)
aoptioned tbsp of MCT oil
1. Line 9X9 baking dish with parchment paper
2. Process dates with the liquid
3. Add almond butter to date paste and mix
4. Either keep using food processor or mix by hand the date/almond mixture with the rest of the ingredients until thoroughly combined.
5. Press into dish and freeze or refrigerate until chilled enough to cut into bars
6. Freeze up to 3 months or keep in fridge
