How ❓❓❓ can I get motivated to do “X”? (fill in the blank.... stop eating at night, eating my feelings, stress eating)?

 

➡️➡️Without motivation we wouldn’t get started with much at all.

.

But relying solely on motivation is where most people go wrong ❌❌.

.

It’s not easy to stop ourselves night after night from eating when we know that we aren't hungry. It's not easy to follow another diet or a 7-day cleanse or 30-day detox. But for a brief time, it’s doable.

.

Motivation will help you power through.

.

But eventually your motivation will dwindle.

.

Or completely disappear. And then you feel like a failure. And at that point you’ll revert to your habits. What your mind and body knows best. Back to where you feel safe!

.

And if you haven’t spent time creating ❤️❤️ new, healthy, sustainable habits...you’ll go back to what you did before. Usually until you “undo” all the progress you just made (and even gain more weight) and then you will wait until you get another boost in motivation to try again.

.

Listen. 👂👂

.

❌Don’t get dazzled with the bright shiny objects like quick fixes or rapid results like I did (and many of my clients). Trust me, for years, I mean decades, I chased those false quick fixes. I wanted them to work!!!

.

They rarely work. And almost always do more harm than good.

.

What I learned and what I share with you is the honest to goodness truth.

 

🥰🥰Take your time. Be patient. Enjoy the journey. Break it down into small steps. It’s not a race. No need to rush. Relax. Deep breaths. Make mistakes and grow from them.

.

Because mistakes will happen ✔️. And that’s ok. It’s part of the process. By planning to make mistakes along the way, you eliminate the guilt you get when you go off track. And when you eliminate guilt, you eliminate the binges and feelings of failure that keep you from getting back on track.

.

Listen. 👂👂

.

Take it slow. You’ve got all the time in the world. There’s no finish line. No race. Just time.

.

Take your time. Enjoy it.

In my teens and 20’s I wanted the quick fixes, the magic pills, the fairy dust – whatever I could get my hands on to make me a lean, happy and sexy machine. Yup, found out it doesn’t exist. I wanted to cry!! I was so frustrated. I felt like I was going around and around until I was completely exhausted and back at the starting point. And when I talk with other women they feel that way too. So, I delved further into holistic health – the emotional, mental and physical – wrote a book, and have been in this field for many years helping 1000’s of women.


I discovered that by being smarter, not working harder, I could get the results I wanted and also for my clients. It started with some really small shifts that I will share with you over time. With this new knowledge, I felt ALIVE, VIBRANT and COMFORTABLE in my own skin. And my clients felt this way too!

My mission is to continue to help women step into the body they WANT. To feel confident & sexy, in control of their food choices and have their clothes fit just as they should while having the energy to live a VIBRANT life.
